Too much to do....too little time. I still am reading Pride and Prejudice. I still have to write my critical review. I still haven't done anything on my RP project sheet. And i only have til Monday. oh, joy.
Today was pretty much spent reading Pride and Prejudice....i think its a good book; but taking notes is slowing me down. I think im writing too much.
The rest of the day has been devoted to finding a mentor for my RP project. I am getting desperate. Last night I emailed the science and tech. coordinator (yes....im THAT desperate) asking if he knows of who would make a good mentor for my project. I have found 2 electrical engineers and a certified auto mechanic, (my project is on crash barriers), but they all said that i should look in another area cause they know nothing on that topic. So....he emailed me back and told me to look up the Society of Women Engineers. From there i found this site called MentorNet, where u can get hooked up one on one w/ a mentor! I though everything was perfect! until...i discover i can't get a mentor there cause it is for college students only. crap. So...i find this discussion board there, and post a desperate message asking for a mentor. I still have no reply.
Then, just a few minutes ago, i switched to plan B. I went to the UMBC homepage and went down the list of faculty members. I emailed 13 mechanical engineering professors/assistant professors/and associate professors. I figure....someone should email me back, rite??
Enough about RP....i hate those 2 letters....gggrr. I got my 1st period assignment today. Im in room 230, which i believe is RP w/ avondet. that should be nice. cool teacher...laid back class...nice way to start the day. now i just hope some of my friends are in there....
