oooohhh.....i hate being sick....

I've been feeling a cold coming on for the past two days, and i think its finally here. I woke up w/ a sore throat and stuffy nose, and it got worse throughout the day, though it lightened up somewhat at the very end of 8th period. Not to mention, i got a headache and stomachaches off and on all day. Does anyone know what that is?? lol. i took some advil this morning...i dont think it helped. What is Advil for anyways? I sort of take it for everything....back pains...coughing...sneezing...sore throat...you name it...i take Advil..lol.

So...yeah...it was a sorta boring day. Had a major quisz in AP Psychology...piece of cake. i thought it was real easy...i think i got an "A." Swim practice was HELL this morning...not cause it was a hard practice realy, but cause i couldn't breath out my nose and my throat hurt, so i was doing pretty bad. I better get better fast though..our first meet is saturday and im in some of the harder events...darnit. Usually, i would LOVE to have the 500 Free...but if im still sick that will just be a pain...so hopefully this is one of them one-day bugs...

Found out i failed that super-easy calculus quiz we took yesterday...got a 22%...i am doing SOOO bad in that class... I made 2 very...VERY stupid mistakes on the quiz, that probably cost me loads of points. darnit..i hate math with a PASSION!!! Luckily, the stuff we are doing now is super easy, so hopefully i can pass the next test...

okay? good...now that we got all that straightened out..lemme update:

The weekend was boring and i did basically nothing but get re-addicted to "The Sims." great computer game. must buy....

School is the same. Swim practices are goin nice...every morning..

Lets cut right to yesterday. There was a game bell for girls basketball, so if u bought a ticket (i did) then u got to get outa class at 2:30pm to watch the girls basketball team crush High Point's girls. As stated earlier (rewind to "crush"...) we won, like...22 to 54 or something. It was cool..good game. I hug out w/ Valerie, Danelle and Angela til halftime, then we moved over to join Steph, Eleina and Virginia. It was fun...and the band was good...it was all good.

Okay...fast-foreward to today. School was okay. We finally got a new RP Engineering teacher, since the stupid county stopped paying out old one...i hate thie daym county...they are retards up there in the school board place or where ever they stay. NEwayz...he's the crazy teacher...this should prove to be interesting..lol. but he was cool today. i hear he's nicer to upperclassmen, but he hates freshmen. Understandable.
English was great today. Some lady from PG Community College came today to talk about PG and how to get money for college, and about the FAFSA and some other stuff. Real helpful information, and the lady was hilarious...we were havin a good time..lol. Then the second half was interesting. It was boring at first, but then we started talking about "what the school appears to be" and what it really is. Some people said things i never thought of, but i see to be true. Like, one person said school is just a controlling device, to keep thousands of teens off the street and out of the "real world." School is ideally a safe, educational place. But in some cases (like our school) it is mainly a holding area, more like a prison than an educational institution.
Another thing someone said really made me think: One girl said that it seems like the south side of PG county (my side) is being shaped to be the business workers...McDonald managers...aka the working class; while the north side of the county is being shaped to be the better side where the doctors and lawyers and all that type is being raised. I see that too. I mean...look at the schools on the south side the county..then look at the ones on the north side. Ours are old, falling apart and to make a long story short: crap. Whereas, there are several new schools on the north side, and all the ones i know of at least are much nicer and cleaner w/ more/better supples, computers, etc.
I think it sucks. I realized that last year too. In the county paper there was always articles about why is the north part of the county getting all the good treatment, while they just about ignore the southern end? WE PAY THE SAME TAXES!! that makes me angry.
I've said it a hundred times...our school system is so f*ed up..im just glad this is my last year of high school...i know i won't miss this county....or school. Sure...ill miss my friends...a few teachers...a few classes...but the school...naw...i won't miss it....


Movin on: i stayed after school today. Part of my AP English Lit. class is putting on a little play. Its "Perimus and Thisby," which is a play performed in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." I play Quince, which says the prologue. Part of me is like...'why did i volunteer to act in the play?' cause i have to finish memorizing my lines and i can't figure out how to "act" the lines...i mean...its basically the introduction! Quince doesn't really have a "voice" that stands out... But its a big extra credit grade...and i like being a part of it...i hope we pull it off...its sorta fun. :)

Had a Calculus quiz today. mayn. i was so mad! I thought i knew what i was doing...but found out i made at least 2 really..really stupid mistakes that messed up the whole test. im so blown..im currently failing that class...ive never had this much trouble in a class before!! AAHH! i need help...

Mayn...so many pple made online quizes! I made one and sent it to like 20 pple, then next thing i know i got 8 quizes in my email box to take! lol. its all good tho...i took em all. Take mine!
