okay time to catchup!!! I promise ill start blogging more regularly!! ive been busy! lol.
Okay...friday was an unusual day. Swim practice in the morning...then school...then a swim meet. Usually we have meets on saturdays, but the SAT testing that got postponed due to snow was moved to last saturdays meet- the day we swim Suitland and Bowie. Well....Bowie got all upset and stupid cause like 2/3 of their team was supposed to take the test, therefore they would miss the meet, therefore they would lose. So they complained and of course that stupid Bowie team ALWAYZ gets what they want (snobby biotches...) so they got the meet changed to Friday at 6pm.
We were so pissed at that. First off, several of our teamates have missed meets due to the SATs before, so just cause alot of Bowie's team is gonna take the test doesn't mean they should have moved the meet. wtf?? they never moved the meeyt when I had to take the SAT!!! Secondly, BOWIE gets out earlier than my school, so they had some time to go home...eat...chill...all that good stuff...before the meet. Whereas my school doesnt get out til after 4pm and it takes a good 30+ minutes or so in rush hour traffic to get to the pool. So we had to leave straight from the school to get to the pool...meaning no rest and no food. Then, to make things worse the bus was real late so we got to the meet late. I heard these 2 Bowie girls talking when we came into the pool late lugging our bookbags and such. They were like "Its about time??? Why are they so late??," sounding all annoyed and stuff. i wanted to hit them!!! MAYBE IF THEY DIDNT GET THE MEET CHANGED TO FIT THEIR PERFECT LITTLE SCHEDULE, THEN MAYBE WE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN LATE!!!
Bowie pisses me off. They are so snobby and have that "im-better-than-you, the-world-revolves-around-me" attitudes. cant stand that. But putting Bowie aside, the meet was descent. My events went okay...relays were great, my individual events could have been better. It was fun though. I gave lotsa pep talks and got hyper a few times and talked to lotsa pple. it was good. Though, our girls team lost to both teams, and our boys lost to Bowie but beat Suitlad. Our girls were REALLY close to Suitland...we were neck and neck the whole time. We might have been able to win, but they cut out the last 2 events cause the pool had to close cause the meet ran late (they kicked us out at 9:30pm). But it was cool. And Vikki had made some REALLY, REALLY good brownies that we pigged out on when we got on the bus to head back to school after the meet. When we got back to school, I walked w/ my sister and Gonzo to the student parking lot, and me and my sister drove home, getting in just after 10:30pm. lol...we walk in a pack to the parking lot...way 2 many pple got jumped and robbed at school, esp. at night. no siir...im stayin w/ the crowd..lol
The weekend was okay. I spent Saturday shopping and Sunday wrapping and making gifts. And studying for Calculus test for today.
Which brings me back to today. Today was great! I took the Calculus test and am confident that i got an A...i need an A...i thought this stuff was easy though.
I spent the majority of the day in my English class. Today, a group of us put on our play for extra credit that we've been working on forever. It is a play in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," called "Perimus and Thisby." I did Quince, the prologue. it was lots of lines but i did it! It was great!!! It got pulled off nicely. We made a set like an actual stage w/ curtains and everything...and we had good costumes we made...and we all memorized our lines...and acted them out. I thought it went great. We performed the play 4 times today: 2 times for our class (1 as rehearsal, 1 to film), then 2 more times, each one for a different English class. I loved it. it was so great! And the audience was clapping and laughing and getting into it. It was all worth it when we took our bow and everyone was clapping and cheering. Then some of my friend were coming up to me saying the play was great and i did good and how did i ever remember all those lines?? lol...made me feel so special. And it felt great cause we did the whole thing oursleves. I think it was a success. :)
