Saturday....ah...the weekend...at last....


Today was pretty much taken up by a swim meet. I slept in...left for the meet at about 10:30am and got back from it around 4:10 (hey! thats when school lets out! lol) WE WON!!! Yay! It was against Duval and High Point. The boys knew this would be an easy meet for them, but we girls knew this would be a close meet. Duval i dont think was much of a problem. But High Point....whew! it was close! High Point's team is a tad smaller than us, but their people are all pretty much good. So it was challenging.

I loved this meet! I beat my previous best times in all my individual events!! In the 200IM, i came in 3rd and dropped 10 seconds off my previous best time....TEN WHOLE SECONDS!! For those of u who dont know swimming...thats quite a bit...usually im complaining when i gained back just ONE or TWO seconds. I went from 3min 40sec. to 3 min. 30 sec. YAY!! So proud of myself. Though i was THIS (gestures) close to getting in 2nd place!! I came in RIGHT behind the girl. Mayn...i saw her right ahead of me and tried to speed up...i caught up but couldnt beat her...i was too tired...i tell ya...that 200 IM is brutal...
I also dropped 5 seconds off my previous best time in the 500 Free. I went from 8min 45sec. to 8min. 40sec. Oh yeah!! Today was my DAY!! lol. My relays (the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay) also did pretty good, though my dive in the 200 Free Relay was bad. i slipped off the starting block. lol. it hurt!! I went to dive, and the foot towards the back of the block just slipped right off so i sorta fell in head first. lol...i dont think it looked bad but it felt real funny. haha..o well..though my ankle was hurting a lil after that. boo....

It was a fun meet though. I have no problems w/ Duval or High Point so we were all friendly to eachother...good sportsmanship and all that. And i cheered on like everyone from our team..i was in a hyper, happy-screaming mood. lol. It was just exciting cause the meet was sooo close. By close, i mean like we won by either 2 or 4 points. We all were happy. It was a true team effort. Good job people!!!

ITS FRIIIIDAY!!!!

Sorry i havent blogged in like...3 days...but ive been busy. a little. okay, okay...so ive just mostly been lazy....im coming back...lol

GUESS WHAT??!! I GOT ACCEPTED TO TOWSON UNIVERSITY!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna go there SOO bad!! I found out wednesday. whew! such a relief! Thats my top choice school. Though...i thought i'd be happy to get the acceptance letter...im not anymore. I mean...im glad to be in...but now im all stressed out cause theres all that stuff to mail back in...like the enrollment deposit...a housing application...etc etc...and i wanna send it all in NOW, but i cant cause i have to wait to accept any offers and look at the money each place is willing to give me. AAHH!! I HATE being poor!!

NEwayz...what else is new?? Today it snowed...not alot...just a dusting, but it was enough to make the roads all icy. There REALLY should have been at LEAST a 2 hour delay for school. but NOOO...the stupid superintendent can't look outside the window or listen to a traffic report...NOOO SIIR...he has to make school open on time....so we all get stuck in traffic. The roads were a mess. I went to swim practice (i hated these past 2 practices...i hate working on breath control!! im a human being!! i have to BREATHE!! lol), and left the pool at about 9am for school. School starts at 9:30am....i didnt get there til about 10am. And pple were all in the halls...EVERYONE was late today. The roads were such a mess...accidents and traffic...ice...aahhh...so annoying...i wanted to just stay home.
School overall was pretty...i dunno. It was like i wasn't even there. I didnt pay attention much, but i dont think there was any need to pay attention. i was just....there.
I began working on RP....geez...its not going well. One of the things i'm testing i can't test, so i need to change my procedures...and Chapter 4 is due FRIDAY!! so..yeah...not much time...u know what i'll be working on this weekend....

Enough about school....lets talk about t.v.! Anyone watch the premeire of "The Apprentice"? Its that new reality show w/ Donald Trump...the winnner gets to be president of one of his businesses. I like the show. I mean...ive seen better reality t.v....but its sorta funny... In this episode, they were divided into their two teams: its girls against boys. They get tasks to do. This task was to sell lemonade. SELL LEMONADE!! lol...so here these pple are...dressed all nice in suits and business attire...and they are out on the streets of New York selling lemonade!!! it looked funny. Oh! And the one guy, Sam, attempted to sell ONE cup of lemonade to a man for $1,000!!!! $1,000 for a cup of lemonade!! CrAzY!!! It was cool. ::SPOILER::
The guy who got fired this time was...i think his name was David. He was this big guy w/ glasses that had like 2 degrees or somethin. He was boring...glad he's gone.

I also watched parts of "The Simple Life." It was hilarious!!! The girls snuck out the house again and went to this bar w/ pool tables and stuff. NEwayz...Nicole couldn't find her purse and thought someone stole it, so she goes crazy and starts screaming and cursing and throwing stuff. She picked up a bottle of bleace and poured it all over the pool table. mayn..it was funny...that show is crazy....

wow...school again...back into that whole thing...ugh. so depressing..

Monday was an okay day...not fun but not bad. Though, things were a bit sad because of some bad news...over the holidays one of my fellow swim team members and classmate's mother died. So sad. And...his mother was also the wife of one of the teachers at our school. mayn..that was real sad. My prayers go out to them.

Today was just like monday, minus the depression (i'm alwayz down after bad news...even when it doesnt directly effect me). Nothing really to blog about or say. hmm...why the heck did i come online?? lol

Oh! I forgot i wanted to comment on the news: BRITTANY SPEARS GOT MARRIED!! Well...technically not, cause soon afterwards she got it annulled. So, technically, according to the "rules of annullment" (lol) she was never married. That confuses me...so...someone can get married...then get..unmarried?? Then say that they were "never married" or "never have been married," and this would actually be true?? Who came up w/ this annullment idea anyways??? i just dont see how you can say something "never happened" when it really did happen.

I think Brittany Spears is sooo stupid!! She tries waay too hard for attention! From what i read in articles, the marriage was just a "joke that went to far." A joke??! WTF??!! You don't JOKE about things like marriage! NOT like that! And she could have lost EVERYTHING!! Her husband-for-55 hours, Jason Allen Alexander, could have filed for divorce right after the marriage and could have taken her money! According to one news station, Spears is worth about $100 million!! shoot. Thats what I would have done if I were him...then at least I'd get something out of that whole mess....

School starts again tomorrow. ugh. I dunno why i hate this year so much. Its really not that bad. I think im just wanting to move on and go to college...the excitement is too much...

Yesterday we had our relay swim meet. It was okay. The pool area was hot, but the water was ice cold. I hate that...you dive in and the cold messes u up a bit...takes a few strokes to get into any sort of pattern. It went okay, but lotsa people were missing.Some of the people on the team this year show up so sporadically. Its like they have to fit the team into their schedule. You can't do that w/ swim team, or probably any varsity sport. You have to be committed. Its getting to be a problem. Coach was getting mad, and told me (being one of the captains) that i gotta tell the team to "get their fricken acts together, etc. etc. etc." which led us captains to plan a meeting for wednesday afterschool. I see why he's mad, though i dont think our teammates will really listen to us captains. But its worth a try. so wednesday afterschool...mandatory swim meeting.

Last night I wrote an essay for this one scholarship im doing. It had to be on a "memorable high school experience." Usually, im horrible at these essays. I havent had anything real disasterous occur in my immediate family, like a death or incarceration or etc...so its hard to make the essay interesting. And often the essays turn out to be predictable and corny...like what everyone else probably said 100 times already. But this essay things were just flowing and coming to me last night. I think i have actually wrote a decent essay. There are a few funny parts...some things are meaningful...some aren't what i think lots of people would say. so i was proud of myself.

I think ill spend today just chillin. enjoy this last day of vacation. back to prison tomorrow...
