WEEKEND!!!!!

Friday night was a blast. Tucker Road (ice skating rink) has been closed for over a year for renovations, and it opened recently. Well, the past couple of days, including yesterday (friday night) you could skate for free. So of course news spread around school, and everyone was talking about going skating Friday night.

It was great. Besides a few adults, kids and a few random teens; pretty much everyone there was from Oxon Hill or had recently graduated from Oxon Hill. It was soo cool! Everywhere you turned there was someone you knew, and could talk to. We were calling it "Oxon Hill on Ice." lol. Yup...we're all free-loaders...if its free we will be there...haha. Several people there had never been ice skating before, but came out to try it since it was free and since everyone else was going. It was soo funny! People were falling everywhere! I've never seen so many different ways to fall! Some people sorta dive onto the ice...others flop backwards...some slide like they are sliding into home base...it was hilarious. I didnt fall at all, though a couple times pple, like Mike and Damon, would try to make me fall...haha...or someone would be about to fall and would grab onto me so they dont fall. Im like...what are you doing??? Just cause you are going down doesn't mean you can take me down w/ you!! This guy and then later this lady i didnt know did that. The guy was like.. "Sorry! I was about to fall!" Im like...okay...so why are you grabbing onto me??? i dont care if u go down...lol. but it was cool. I hung out mostly w/ Iyen, Mykella and Sharis, but i talked to lotsa other pple too.
I did pretty good skating. No falls or almost falls (arms flailing...tripping over my skates...none of that). And i was able to go at a good speed, and i got pretty good at weaving between pple. Though i still cant stop very well. I mean...i can stop, but i cant be going really fast. Plus, i prefer just crashing into the walls. its more fun. :)

Today has been a little boring. Went to the mall...bought 2 shirts for a total of $17..not bad. Im a big department store shopper. Now im killing time before a swim meet. Its a late one....darnit...i hate late meets. makes me sleepy for some reason....

okay...parents kicking me off the internet...blogging later...

it was great...must do that again...only next time we'll probably have to pay...dangit...lol

Monday...the worst day of the week...

I hate Mondays. Though technically they aren't the beginning of a week, they are the start of a new school week, so I have grown to hate them. Not that school is bad. Actually, I like school because it gets me out of my house, which has become quite boring lately. Its just...its school...and I've come to dread Mondays because of this...

Today was pretty boring. No bad classes...no real good ones. Talked to Hope, Ricky and Mykella in RP. Interesting. lol. Mykella's B'Day is coming up. She will be 18! wow!! Thats old!! lol.
Psychology was okay...English was okay...though I wasn't really in the mood to put up w/ the teacher. I mean...i like the class and I'm glad I have this teacher...and hes a great teacher...but he is just so passionate about teaching and English. Which is a good thing I guess...just sometimes I'm not really in that "lets-get-all-deep-and-excited-about-English" mood. And when your not in that mood the teacher makes you feel like "you don't belong in this AP English class." And today i was just sorta...out of it. oh well...i'll try to get in the mood tomorrow.
Lunch was okay...didnt talk much...again, i was out of it. Production Systems was okay...good except a few of the juniors were getting on my nerves...sometimes i really wonder about a few of them...I dont think a few of them are quite right in the head...
Calculus was a blower. After about a month of fully understanding everything, I am once again lost. The teacher moved so fast I couldn't keep up. Im one of those people who can't take notes and listen at the same time. I copy the notes, then I'll listen to how you do the problem. Can't do that in her class...so I end up copying the notes and trying to sort it all out later...not a good strategy. I tried listening and copying but fell behind today. I was getting frusterated, and even shouted out to "Slow down!! (please)" a couple times, but it had no effect. I stayed after for tutoring again. After that I was able to understand the notes I took, but then when I went to do the homework at home I was lost again: I just wasn't getting the anwsers in the back of the book...
I had been on a ROLL!!! And I lose it two days before our test (we got a test on Wednesday). Great. Just my luck...

Oh! The fire alarm went off right at the start of 8th period. We thought it was a drill, so were taking our good old time leaving the room. But, this was no ordinary drill. See, fire drills pretty much always occur during 7th period at 3:10. Yes. 3:10. So if anyone ever decides to burn the school down; make sure you do it at 3:10...that is the most convenient time. I don't know what would happen if we ever had a fire in any other period. We never practiced leaving from other classes...we wouldn't know where to go! It would be complete chaos.
Anyways...I'm getting off the topic a little bit. Since this "drill" wasn't at 3:10, our teacher was telling us to hurry up, cause this might be a real fire. Now, since it wasn't 3:10, meaning this drill wasn't planned; I assumed someone pulled the fire alarm. Not an unusual thing. But I start leaving the room and going down the halls anyways. Then, I am talking to people and some other people we pass are talking like its a real fire. I'm like...hhmm...what if this is a real fire?? I started getting excited...its been awhile since something real exciting happened. Usually our school has lots of chaos and crazy things happening, but the latter part of this year has been pretty mundane. But as I am getting real excited and about to go down the stairs, other people start calling out that we are supposed to return to our classrooms and that it was a falso alarm. Damn. Knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Oh well. Theres always tomorrow... (just kidding just kidding...im in a sarcastic mood if you are wondering...lol :) )
